The 2st international RestCycling Art Festival in Berlin will be held on the 24th and 25th of Mai 2003.

During the festival we aim to increase public & media awareness in the processes of reusing discarded consumer products and packaging thus avoiding waste.

Around 50 international artists from the disciplines including: painting, sculpture, installation, design, fashion, graffiti... will be able to set up for the weekend in a live studio environment and publicly demonstrate their creation of art, craft, and fashion objects utilising materials usually thrown away such as paper, cardboard, glass & plastic containers, old electronics & computer parts etc.

We are looking also for video artist that have made work concering , rubbish, consumer society, nature, recycling... We would like to present these video's on the festival

The Festival organisers can supply materials for the artists working in the Life-studios if required.

Keeping within the theme of the environment and the arts, there will also be musical acts & performance artists, along with fashion performance and circus.

So if your art is made from materials society usually throws away, you're at the right place!

After the long weekend a collective art exhibition (3 Months) from the 2. RestCycling Art Festival artists in the foundation Naturschutz Berlin, Potsdamer Strasse 68 - Berlin
