Mexican photographer Flor Garduño, whose works are currently on view at The Museum of Contemporary Photography, Columbia College Chicago, will be available for interviews next week. be available for interviews next week. The exhibition runs through
August 19, 2000.
In her silver gelatin prints, Flor Garduño explores ideas of history and
tradition as they relate to mythology and the natural world.
Photographing in many countries and working in genres that include still
life, landscape, and portraiture, she addresses grand themes of life and
death in images of disembodied sculpture, holy relics, and mystical
animals. Flor Garduño was born in Mexico City in 1957.

Ms. Garduño will be available for interviews by appointment between 10
am and 5 pm on Thursday, August 3, and Friday, August 4, 2000, at The
