Consistently inconsistent, a publication without name publishes sound, music, poetry reading, text, interactive works, multiples etc. submitted to no editorial strictures on contents. The second issue of a publication without a name consists of a data cd, an audio cd and various multiples (small objects, booklets etc.). The publication has no name in order to emphasize the openness of the project. It is a non-mediaspecific, interdisciplinary publication with more than 70 contributors. The publication will be presented today and individual contributors will appear.

the second issue of a publication without a
name consists of a data cd, an audio cd
and various multiples (small objects,
booklets etc.)
the publication has no name in order to
emphasize the openness of the project. it is
a non-mediaspecific, interdisciplinary
publication with more than 70 contributors
from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, USA,
Canada, Australia, Austria, Holland,
Belgium, Germany, England and Ireland.
the open editorial strategy allows the
publication to move freely among many
disciplines and media.
It is a nameless
publication without an editorial profile,
without definite form or media, but with a
highly defined concept. This is a paradoxical
position which creates a dynamic and
unstable space, full of possibilities.
The musicians, designers, visual artists,
writers, authors, programmers etc.
contributing to this publication have been
given a free rein. the individual
contributions may thus be viewed
separately or as parts of the new and
approximately arbitrary context.
the same openness is to be found in the
neutral and simple interface. at every view
the intercafe will present the contents of the
two cd's in a new and arbitrary order. the
contributions change place in relation to
one another and a different structure
arises.
the next issue which will appear next spring
will take a quite different form. maybe an
edible text, maybe a big wooden box...
examples of individual contributions:
the american artist Leif Brush makes a
signal disc transform metereological
phenomena into digital sound;
Joshua
Nimoy from the UCLA, Los Angeles, in his
fine interactive work 'Textension', has
produced text which metamorphoses into
soap bubbles;
Lene Asp Frederiksen and
Henriette Møller, both from the Author's
School in Copenhagen, in their joint work
examine the overlapping and interference
of voices;
Hans Hansen's work, which was
recently nominated as the best
electro-acoustic composition, consists of
29 sound pieces which may be
programmed according to 5 different
scores and also affects the sound
transmission of the cd player in question;
Huskmitnavn, a.k.a. Søren Porse, known for
his poster projects in Copenhagen, has
produced 400 very small pictures to be
hung on very large nails;
musician Bjørn
Christiansen (Bjørn Svin) and designer
Henrik Vibskov have composed a joint 20
minutes long piece of music at a live
concert.
Reception: Wednesday, November 28.
From 5 p.m.
the publication
will be presented and individual
contributors will appear.
