basis.
"Artists
must
now
work
in
a
difficult
market
more
than
ever,"
says
initiator
Jaap
Sleper.
"Subsidies
no
longer
apply
and
artists
are
also
suffering
highly
from
the
recession.
We,
therefore,
like
to
offer
them
a
podium
and
ask
a
minimum
financial
contribution
for
this.
For
a
small
amount,
participating
artists
and
art
initiatives
and
collectives
can
set
up
their
own
stand
areas
in
the
former
offices."
The

organisation
makes
every
effort
to
ensure
costs
are
kept
as
low
as
possible.
"We
are,
of
course,
very
happy
with
the
vacant
office
building
that
our
sponsor
IVG
Vastgoed
has
made
available,"
says
the
gallery
owner
from
Utrecht.
"But
we
are
also
keeping
the
organisation
low
key
and
simple
and
are
being
assisted
by
volunteers.
We
are
only
selling
the
€
5
entry
tickets
at
the
entrance.
We,
therefore,
do
not
have
an
expensive
digital
reservation
and
presales
system.
This
would
only
represent
excessive
costs,"
says
Sleper.
"We
try
to
approach
the
market
in
a
new
and
different
manner
with
this
set-‐up."
