A tribute to celebrate Leon Golub, painter, activist, author, and teacher. Speakers: Jon Bird, Phong Bui, Clayton Eshleman, Hans Haacke, Samm Kunce, Declan McGonagle, Molly Nesbit, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Kiki Smith, and Robert Storr. Golub's outsized paintings bear searing and prophetic witness to a history of war and oppression, conflict and violence. In the iconography of the second half of the XX century art, his images of mercenaries, napalm victims, goons, and white squads create an implacable lexicon.
