Although folklore may seem at odds with contemporary lifestyles, it is periodically held up as a mirror that reflects the identity of various communities. Folkloric expression is never very far from stereotypes, with a spate of recycled elements serving touristic and identity purposes. This folkloric destiny is preceded by a variety of languages, of inspirations, of singularities, of forms and competences.
As a compilation of digressions stemming from a few archetypical folkloric elements, the exhibition offers to put them back into perspective - between clichés, vibrating heritage and programmed disappearances.
