We Interrupt This Programme... takes us on a journey from A to B, exploring the gaps and distance between somewhere, something or someone. The exhibition is interested in the interruptions and mistakes made on a journey, be it falling in love, the journey from rags to riches (and back again) or simply the passing of time on a journey and the milestones on the way.

The exhibition will extend out of the gallery space, with the some of the artists responding to the location of the gallery within the town-centre shopping Arcade and beginning to form relationships with the shops and visitors to the Arcade.

We Interrupt. first took place in Newcastle in 2000, with 7 artists each from Scotland and the North East of England. This second leg completes the journey from A to B, looking at how the artists work has developed, and continuing collaborations and discussions started in Newcastle.

A full colour 48 page catalogue will be available during the exhibition.

Artists' Discussion Sat 3rd August 2.30pm followed by the Private View 4-6pm
