Exile Parliament

Second session. A project made up of 63 artists
2nd meeting. San Keller's project is part of the current exhibition "For Real!", which is looking into the question of the effect of art on the real world. The Exile Parliamant is made up of 63 artists which, in three sessions, will address the items on the agenda being dealt with simultaneously in the St. Gallen City Parliament. It is based in an art institution in order to take up current social themes using various artistic working methods - without being subject to the restrictions on forms and ideas of projects in public space and of their sponsors. The second session of the Exile Parliament is to take place at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen in the regular form of a parliamentary meeting in which the topics as well as the negotiating structures of the City Parliament are to be precisely adopted. The batch of items dealt with by the artists is on view until shortly before the second session starts. The third and last session of the Exile Parliament and the subsequent presidential inauguration will take place on Tuesday, 18 January 2011.
