NY PAINTS! A Survey of the Next Generation of Painters
New York, NY - Paul Sharpe Contemporary Art (PSCA) announces the opening of NEW YORK PAINTS!, featuring paintings on canvas, board, and paper by six New York artists: Laura Harrison, Michelle Mackey, Sebastiano Mauri, Mike Peck, Linda Saccoccio, and Tattfoo Tan.
Opening January 15, 6 - 9 PM, thru February 26
Painting is far from 'dead' and this exhibit attempts to demonstrate the vitality of the medium as expressed by a diverse group of emerging artists. Three of the artists live and work in Manhattan, and one who lives and works in Brooklyn, one in Staten Island, and one who lives in Manhattan and has a studio in Queens. The exhibit features three male and three female artists, all in their 20s, 30s, or early 40s. The show is intended as a survey of what New York artists are doing as painters today.
Following Art For Televisions, PSCA will present Anton Christian: New Paintings on Paper from Austria, and Gloria Garfinkel Woodcut Collage Monoprints, opening March 5, 6 - 9 PM.
