Sara' "I have seen the future" il quarto importante evento che il gruppo creativo romano di Cityvision presentera' il prossimo 17 febbraio alle 18.30 al MACRO – Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Roma.

Dopo l'esperienza e il successo di Rome CityVision Experience, Love and Kill your own Town e Y1 Independent Architecture Stuff, un nuovo evento d'architettura indipendente vedra' protagonista, per la prima volta a Roma, il famoso studio londinese Squinto/Opera con una lecture dell'architetto Jules Coke (founding director).

Sara' inoltre annunciato il nuovo concorso d'architettura internazionale che quest'anno indaghera' sul futuro della Grande Mela: New York Cityvision Competition. La giuria del nuovo concorso sara' composta da Joshua Prince-Ramus (REX architects), Eva Franch i Gilabert (Storefront for art & architecture), Roland Snooks (Kokkugia), Shohei Shigematsu (OMA ny), Alessandro Orsini (Architensions) e Mitchell Joachim (Terreform One).

Durante l'evento verra' inoltre presentato e distribuito il free press numero 5 di CityVision Magazine e saranno rivelati i vincitori del concorso PFFF Inflatable architecture competition indetto da CityVision e FARM.

Oltre 30 esperti tra progettisti grafici, animatori 3D, web designer, musicisti e cineasti (molti dei quali hanno un background legato all'architettura) che lavorano a progetti nazionali ed internazionali sia a piccola che a grande scala. Con il 2012 prende via il nuovo corso del MACRO, sotto la direzione di Bartolomeo Pietromarchi. Il museo si ispira a un concetto innovativo che, a partire da un programma espositivo ampio e diversificato, si pone come centro di produzione artistica e ricerca sul contemporaneo. Tale identita' nasce dall'esigenza di riconsiderare il ruolo dell'artista, motore principale delle attivita' che connotano il museo. La rivitalizzazione e valorizzazione di tutti gli spazi di cui e' composta un'architettura articolata e complessa quale quella del MACRO e' uno degli elementi cardine di tale corso. Questo non riguarda solo le aree espositive veri e propri ma anche, e in modo particolare, quegli spazi le cui funzionalita' e vitalita' si giocano semplicemente ed esclusivamente sulla presenza del pubblico. E' infatti al pubblico che si e' rivolto a partire dal 2010 l'intervento architettonico di Odile Decq – insignita del Leone d'Oro alla Biennale d'Architettura di Venezia nel 1996 – sull'ex-fabbrica Peroni ed e' nella piena condivisione di tale progetto che si intende gestire tali spazi, in linea con la vocazione del museo, che gode di una posizione privilegiata, a poche centinaia di metri da Porta Pia. A questa sede si aggiunge quella di MACRO Testaccio, situato nell'omonimo quartiere romano.

"I have seen the future" will be the fourth cool event that the creative Roman group of CityVision will presents at the MACRO museum of via Nizza in Rome next February 17th - 6.30 pm.

After the great success of Rome CityVision Experience, Love and Kill your own Town and Y1 Independent Architecture Stuff, a new independent architecture event will host, for the first time in Rome, the famous London office Squinto/Opera with a lecture of Jules Coke (Squint/Opera founding director). It will be announced a new international architecture competition to explore the future of the Big Apple: New York CityVision Competition. The jury panel will be composed by Joshua Prince-Ramus (REX Architects), Eva Franch i Gilabert (Storefront for Art & Architecture), Roland Snooks (Kokkugia), Shohei Shigematsu (OMA ny), Alessandro Orsini (Architensions) and Mitchell Joachim (Terreform One). During the event the new issue #5 of CityVision Magazine will be presented and freely distributed as also winners and shortlisted of PFFF - Inflatable Architecture Competition organized by CityVision and FARM, will be revealed.

2012 kicks off by MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome) taking a new course under the direction of Bartolomeo Pietromarchi. Based on a wide and various exhibition program, following an innovative concept, the museum represents a main center for artistic production and research on contemporary arts. The aim was born by the need to review the artist's role as a main actor of the museum's activities. The revitalization and enhancement of each new spaces of the MACRO are the cornerstones of this course. This is true not only for the exhibition spaces, but also and especially for those spaces whose function and vitality are expressed through the public's presence. It is to the public itself that Odile Decq's 2010 architectural intervention (awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 1996), above the Peroni factory, is addressed, being situated in a privileged location. As well as this location the MACRO Testaccio space was also completed, located in the same Roman district.
