sintesi del comunicato stampa

The Serpentine Gallery is hosting a two-day conference exploring key works by poet Wystan Hugh Auden and political theorist Hannah Arendt. Led by internationally-renowned Harvard academic Homi Bhabha, participants investigate Auden's 'The Age of Anxiety' and Arendt's prolific oeuvre, in particular the links between the authors, the relevance of poetry and the wider issue of security. This multi-disciplinary event includes lectures, discussions, screenings, poetry readings and performances to examine essential questions about the relationship between poetry, politics and art. Participants include: Maria Aristodemou, Homi Bhabha, Eleanor Bron, Costas Douzinas, Andrea Geyer, Susannah Young-ah Gottlieb, Oscar Guardiola Rivera, Hugh Haughton, Jill Johnson, William Kentridge, Gustav Metzger, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Julia Peyton-Jones, Patricia Tuitt. Friday 27 April: 6pm - 9pm; Saturday 28 April: 10am - 7pm. Free, but booking is essential (image: Homi Bhabha, Photograph: Stephanie Mitchell, Harvard University).
