The eighth version of artBO – International Art Fair of Bogotá – will take place from October 18th to October 22nd in an area that exceeds 10.000 m2.

Thanks to the continuous participation of the foremost national and international galleries and to their efforts in promoting young Colombian and Latin American talent, artBO has positioned itself as the assembly point par excellence of the art market in Latin America and the first art fair in Colombia.

This year artBO will continue to propagate a balanced offer of the best proposals in contemporary and modern Latin American art and the contemporary art scene, while preserving the median size of the Fair to facilitate the visit of all galleries.

Once more, the excellent curated sections of the Artecámara Pavilion can be visited to observe a selection of the most promising young Colombian artists, as well as Project Rooms, an exhibit of 10 outstanding Latin American artists.

In addition, during the entire month of October, in partnership with several institutions, artBO will celebrate the ebullient creative scene of Bogotá.

artBO- International Art Fair of Bogota is the meeting point par excellence and a must exchange gathering between the Latin American art scene and the international art panorama.

Each year, artBO summons both national and international art galleries, curators, artists and general public around a commercial and cultural exchange platform, with an international outreach and high level impact on the national scene using international standards.

For several years, with the aim of promoting the competitiveness of the city and the region, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce identified cultural industries as one of the strategic sectors with the highest potential for the economic and social development of our country.

Thus, it has created an ambitious program for entrepreneurial reinforcement and decided to create opportunities that will stimulate the circulation and demand.

Today, Bogota’s International Art Fair, artBO is one of those platforms that not only achieves a commercial objective, but also, promotes the talent, creativity, exchange and appreciation of art in the domestic and international market. Consequently, with the support of the public and private sectors, artBO has become an important showcase of the arts in Latin America and a promotional platform for our capital city.

artBO brings together the most important players in the cultural circuit, such as artists, gallery owners, collectors, critics and curators, who along with the general public have joined this event as part of an artistic approach that promotes quality of life and recreation.

In only seven years, the fair has contributed to the projection of the Colombian artistic vision in front of the contemporary art world panorama, engaging artistic manifestations of other latitudes that have enriched the cultural landscape, and have facilitated the appreciation of art, promoting cultural consumption and encouraging the formation of publics, thanks to an inclusive, diverse and participatory program, where all generations have a place as part of our social responsibility.

More than 150.000 attendants, 140 galleries present, 1300 artists – 280 of them are young artists-, more than 150 art collectors and more than 5.000 art works, exhibited since their own creation, reaffirm the high impact that this cultural and commercial showcase has on a demanding national and international market.
