The third edition of the international sculpture route in Amsterdam. 70 sculptures of 58 international artists will be presented in the beautiful Berlage district of Amsterdam South.
ARTZUID 2013 takes place from May 22nd until September 22nd on the Apollolaan, Minervalaan, Zuidas, Vondelpark and Museumplein. The curator this edition is former director of the Rijksmuseum mr. Henk van Os. This year the theme is Engagement. Seventy sculptures of artists from more than 20 countries will be presented in the beautiful Berlage district of Amsterdam South.
Henk van Os: “ARTZUID is a wonderful initiative. Previous editions have quite rightly won international awards. It is a great honour for me to be allowed to make the final selection of this year’s sculptures.”
Participating artists: El Anatsui, John Chamberlain, Tony Cragg, Mario Merz, Tom Sachs, Richard Long, Romuald Hazoumè, Ai Weiwei, Frank Stella, Dinh Q. Lê, Markus Lüpertz, Eduardo Chillida, Cristobal Gabarrón, Jonathan Meese, Erwin Wurm, Folkert de Jong, Joep van Lieshout, David Bade etc.
This year the theme of the open-air exhibition is engagement. ARTZUID 2013 is reserving space for non-Western artists, whose works will be on display amongst the sculptures of Western artists
