You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

Music and photography

Photography and music have long been inseparably linked. Pop and rock artists commission leading photographers to give their music a face. You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet shows the work of photographers who stand out for their unique style and original approach. The exhibition includes intimate backstage portraits, eccentric group portraits and iconic album covers. The photographers all share one passion: music.

FoMu is showing work by, among others, Joris Bulckens, Dean Chalkley, Daniel Cohen, Charlie De Keersmaecker, Koen Keppens, Ryan McGinley, James Mollison, Alex Salinas, Michael Schmelling, Oliver Sieber, Alex Vanhee, Eva Vermandel and Rob Walbers. The exhibition includes album cover art, video clips, photography books and an installation by Radio Soulwax.

Catalogue
The publisher Lannoo has produced a catalogue for the exhibition You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet. The catalogue is accompanied by an actual soundscape: Studio Brussels created the online soundscape for the exhibition and catalogue in collaboration with Spotify. The resulting musical book by FoMu and Lannoo is a first of its kind.

All Rock Werchter visitors have free entrance to the You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet exhibition, by means of a registrated chip in their wristbands.

Ruud Van Empel

Ruud van Empel's (NL, °1958) photographic works are collages of hundreds of fragments of his own work. He constructs fictional worlds with the aid of Photoshop, conjuring people and landscapes that have never before existed. The images depict lovely dreamscapes. However, the shadowy side of this beauty is never far away.

Jonge Belgische Fotografie

FoMu presents the second exhibition in the Jonge Belgische Fotografie series. This edition will show work by Frederik Buyckx (BE, °1984), Max Pinckers (BE, °1988) and David Widart (BE, °1982), three nominees for the Paule Pia prize for photography by young Belgians. While their work cannot be placed in one category, they are evenly matched in their conviction and dedication. This year, the prize goes to Frederik Buyckx.
