Dongdaemun Design Plaza - DDP, Seoul

On March 21, 2014, the brand-new scenery, DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) will have a grand opening in Seoul, Korea. DDP, aiming to be the world representative design infrastructure and 'Design and Creative Industry Origination' is a multipurpose cultural center where global citizens and visitors can share and enjoy the value of design. Under the motto 'Design with People', DDP will serve as an open platform to facilitate communication with the world, based on creativity, culture and unique design of Korea. DDP is located in Dongdaemun, the center of 600 years of history and currently the hub of Asian fashion. Zaha Hadid, a world-renowned architect designed this world's largest three-dimensional, atypical architecture. The 62,957m2 plaza comprises 5 facilities to hold international conferences, festivals, presentations of new products, fashion shows and various other events as well as venues for business, shopping and relaxation. The 5 facilities include the Art Hall, Museum, Design Lab, Design Market and Dongdaemun history and culture park.
