A one-day event about radio and performance
On Friday 16 May, TENT presents the second instalment of Radio Calling, a series about the relationship between (online) radio broadcast and (live) performance, in collaboration with Camden Arts Centre, London. This episode brings together artists, curators, and theorists in an intense afternoon program focusing on the notion of 'liveness': the simultaneous presence of creator and audience, but not necessarily in one place. With contributions from Tate Modern's curator of performance Capucine Perrot (FR/UK), Professor Philip Auslander (US, Georgia Institute of Technology), and new performances by Lucy Beech and Edward Thomasson (UK), Camilla Wills & Jane Fawcett (UK), and Timmy Zoelen (NL). The lectures, performances, master class for Open Call participants, and artists interviews are all conducted and broadcast live. Friday 16 May from 13:00 to 18:00. Admission 5 euro.
