Mobilize, taking place February 12th, 2004, at 8 pm at the
Charlestown Working Theater. With premiere works by Dan McKereghan

2 promises to be as intense and powerful as the first installment at
Oni Gallery in October. Please support Mobius in its nomadic
endeavors and come out to see these incredible artists who've come in
from all over the world specifically to blow your minds. Mobilize is
produced and programmed by Jamie McMurry and Jed Speare.
Dan McKereghan is an NEA award-winning performance artist based in
Brooklyn. Dan's work has been presented at galleries and festivals in
Canada, Chile, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, the UK

CURRENCY international performance art festivals, presented by
Chashama in Manhattan on March 18-20.
Marialuisa Ramirez was born in Bolivia and has spent the last 18
years in Chile. Ramirez has been an active artist and organizer in
South America in the mediums of performance, video and film; as a
producer and curator for the Perfo Puerto - Festival Latinoamericano
de Arte de Performance, and with intense performance pieces like, "De
Sola Sol" in which Ramirez, Martin Molinaro and Alexander del Re
walked through the dangerous countrysides of Colombia non-stop for 36
hours.
Jed Speare has been working in time-based arts for 25 years.
Initially trained in music composition, his sound, video, and
performance works have been presented in festivals and venues in New
York, San Francisco, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, and

Boston and N.Y. She has toured Japan, Haiti, Hungary, U.S. and
collaborates with movement artists Anika Tromholt Kristensen with
Sawari, and Liz Roncka and Olivier Besson, and with percussionist
Grant Smith. She composed several pieces for performance artist Hanne
Tierney's Theatre Without Actors, which were performed in Sweden,
Yugoslavia, and New York, including Tierney's Obie-award winning
"Salome" and "How Wang-Fo Was Saved."
The Mobius Artists Group has gained international recognition as a
leading interdisciplinary group in the United States. Founded by
Marilyn Arsem in 1977, the group has been known for incorporating a
wide range of the visual, performing, and media arts into innovative
live performance, video, and installation works. Mobius Artists Group
has produced over 100 original works which have attained critical
acclaim while at Mobius and garnered further recognition when
presented nationally and internationally. Members of the Mobius
Artists Group have presented work throughout the United States,
Canada, Europe and Asia.
In 1974, the Charlestown Working Theater was founded on the idea that
a theater and a community can engage in a dialogue, which results in
creative, artistic expression, an exciting exchange of ideas, and a
deeper understanding of the people who make up the community. CWT
has maintained this philosophy throughout its history and has
remained dedicated to serving the cultural needs of Charlestown and
greater Boston. Thirty years after first opening its doors, CWT has
become an integral element of the community's rich cultural identity.
In remaining dedicated to offering a variety of theatrical and
cultural events, forming creative partnerships, and maintaining an
open exchange with its community,
CWT has developed a unique synthesis of artistic exploration.
