The New Art Dealers Alliance Inc. (NADA) announces the second annual NADA Art Fair in Miami, December 2-5, 2004. Last year, the NADA Art Fair established itself as a groundbreaking collaborative effort, bringing together 45 top innovative contemporary art galleries and non-profit spaces from around the world in Miami Beach. The fair was conceived as a forum for NADA to further achieve its goal of fostering a stronger community for the arts via collaboration and encouraging non-adversarial approaches to exhibiting and dealing art. This December, NADA seeks to further this initiative with a larger show containing 60 exhibitors, at a new location, the Ice Palace Film Studios, located at 59 NW 14th Street in Miami. With open floored, high-roofed spaces
and an outdoor garden, the Ice Palace will provide a beautiful and unique setting for collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts alike.

NADA is also pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Hubbs as the new Director of the NADA Art Fair. Heather was formerly Associate Director at Thomas Blackman & Associates in Chicago. There she instituted the International Invitational at Art Chicago, a special section focused on highlighting emerging, international contemporary art galleries. Heather also worked as Director of The Stray Show, an alternative art event also produced by TBA, since 2001.

###

NADA was founded in late 2002 by Sheri L. Pasquarella (Director, Gorney Bravin + Lee), John Connelly (John Connelly Presents), Zach Feuer (Co-Founder and Director, LFL Gallery) and Zach Miner, and has since grown to about 50 members, with members in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston. The advisory panel for 2003-04 is: Elizabeth Burke, Clementine Gallery; Lia Gangitano, Participant Inc; Becky Smith, Bellwether Gallery; Mari Spirito, 303 Gallery.

NADA is a collective of professionals in the arts. Its mission is to create an open flow of information, support and collaboration in the arts in order to create a stronger sense of community. NADA believes that the adversarial approach to exhibiting and selling art has run its course and that change can be achieved through fostering constructive thought and dialogue between various points in the art industry from large galleries to small, non-profit and commercial spaces alike.

NADA is a non-profit, currently filing for Section 506-c and 503-f status, and is a member organization.
