The film submission period is from September 1 to December 31, 2000. Entry in the Phoenix Film Festival is open to professional and non-professional filmmakers working in all film genres: documentary, narrative, animation, experimental, etc. Features and shorts of all styles and lengths are eligible for consideration.

The film submission period is from September 1 to December 31, 2000.
Entry in the Phoenix Film Festival is open to professional and non-professional filmmakers working in all film genres: documentary, narrative, animation, experimental, etc. Features and shorts of all styles and lengths are eligible for consideration.
Films submitted for consideration may have an original production format of 35mm, 16mm, digital or video.
All full-length films submitted must have a total budget of no more than $1 million.
All short films submitted must have a total budget of no more than $50,000.
Entrants should be prepared to provide a preview copy of the work on 1/2-inch video, a brief synopsis of the work and the applicable entry fee.

The entry fees are as follows:
Feature-length films - $25
Shorts - $15
Student Shorts - $5

Selected short films will play either as part of a specially selected program titled "Short and Sweet", which feature works by emerging artists, or "Grade A Shorts", which feature works by currently enrolled student filmmakers.
