The plant of immortality. Today art is supposed to bring man immortality, while science and commerce endanger our survival by destroying the environment. The human being can not renounce to the privilege of using his knowledge nor to its right to live healthy and wealthy. But don't Culture and Commerce come from the same source, the divine gift of intelligence? Will it then make any difference whether it is Art or Commerce?

Today art is supposed to bring man immortality, while science and commerce endanger our survival by destroying the environment.
The human being can not renounce to the privilege of using his knowledge nor to its right to live healthy and wealthy. But don't Culture and Commerce come from the same source, the divine gift of intelligence?
In the old days they used to work together to give us a meaningful life. It was the time when a 'product' like ALOE VERA was used to heal the wounds of Alexander the Great's soldiers as to make imperishable the Pharaoh's body. Life and death were part of the same sacred vision of creation.
Exploiting without any aim or meaning, that makes us dead before death. But someone still trade to bring us the most important product of life: the immortal wisdom of history and nature.
We call it Commerce too.
Only an artist can be the witness of its high spiritual value, putting on the packaging his esthetical label (mark). This product is wonderful! Because it not only helps healing your wounds, it also makes you aware that no violence, no destruction is needed to be happy. Because Cruydhof BV certainly knows the difference between use and abuse (misuse) of natural resources, between what we received for our life and what we steal for our greed.
After all (on the upshot), this is the only function of Art: to show how beautiful and eternal a moment of awareness can be.
Will it then make any difference whether it is Art of Commerce?
