Using film, video and photography Cao Guimares creates work informed by a number of approaches including cinema, documentary, and fiction. His work displays his capacity to locate and create images of extraordinary beauty, often combined with a shrewd awareness of issues of visual culture and anthropology. The evening's screening is a selection of short films and videos made between 2000 and 2006, many of which have never before been screened in the UK.
