Following the success of Mark's current run of performance pieces at
Clapham Art Gallery he has been asked to commit to one last act:
'Assaulted'.
A two-hour performance is to take place at Clapham Art Gallery. Viewed
through the window of the gallery a uniformed policeman will be standing
alone. A serene figure of law, order and justice. The audience is
invited to participate in the performance by entering the gallery on
their own and beating the policeman with a stick. No resistance will be
shown; no arrests will be made. This is an excellent opportunity for
members of the public to vent their frustration, anger and resentment
towards the police without fear of retribution.
So if you have had an injustice done to you or if you just feel like
giving a policeman a good hiding come along. No beating to take longer
than five minutes. Booking is available and group beatings may be
