The DMY Allstars are a new module of the DMY International Design Festival. For the first time, external locations spread all over the city of Berlin will take part in the event. Over 35 exhibitors, designer groups from Germany and abroad as well as local creative minds will enhance the Festival with theme-based special exhibitions, group shows and open studios.

The event opens up to new dimensions as the exclusive and fascinating locations enable visitors to sample the Festival in a tangible and vivid manner throughout the entire city. Countries such as Norway, Israel, Turkey and South Korea will not only present unusual and striking perspectives of the design scene, but also transform them into vibrant, individual experiences. Visitors can thus look forward to a broad spectrum of exhibitions and shows that will take place during the entire Festival.

By introducing the DMY Allstars as new module, the Festival responds to the numerous requests of national and international designers, while including the work of renowned and established creative agents in the DMY International Design Festival.

For (young) design protagonists as well as the Festival’s visitors, the exhibition in the Arena represents a central meeting-point. Here, the latest developments in design are introduced to both professionals and to a wide-ranging public. A wide variety of transdisciplinary and experimental work – but also projects by renowned designers – will be put on display.

Known for its unconventional, imaginative and free-thinking spirit, DMY Youngsters knows no laws or limits, and successfully combines its open-mindedness to an innate instinct for up-and-coming trends.

However, the exhibition takes things yet a step further: over time, a wide spectrum of exhibitors from different countries has joined its ranks, revealing surprising new trends of the international design scene. A spate of cities including Saint Etienne, London, Taipei, Seoul, Warsaw, Bogotá or Tel Aviv offer valuable insight into the world of design, and visitors can thus look forward to innovative, enchanting and extravagant projects.

In short, this is the ideal place to enjoy dazzling impressions, exciting developments and above all, creative exchanges. With a 7.000 square meter exhibition space and more than 150 designers, the DMY Youngsters exhibition has succeeded in establishing itself as a not-to-be-missed event in the international scene for young, creative and innovative design in Berlin.

DMY Klublabor
Selected clubs throughout Berlin, view program & locations for info

From the very beginning, DMY not only outshone the day, but also ruled the nights. When darkness falls, the nightly facets of club design come to glow in their most singular shapes and colours. Neon jungle, strobo storm or LED design - hell breaks loose at the Klublabor, a space open to all things that rock and get feet stomping.

This year, we bid farewell to our sedentary location and embark on a sweeping tour of Berlin nightlife fixtures. Klublabor is everywhere, be it in the legendary Cookies that has already left its imprint on the Berlin nightlife scene, or the notorious Bar 25 directly on the Spree where guests can also rest their tired bones after a serious night of partying.

Next stop: Club 103 in Kreuzberg, which opens its doors to art and culture for the occasion. According to our motto ‘The Sky Is Not the Limit‘, our final destination towers high up over the rooftops of Berlin, to the 15th floor of the Weekend at Alexanderplatz.

At the spectacular opening party on Wednesday, 21.05.2008 at the Glashaus - presented by Bombay Sapphire, since drinks and aesthetics form a splendid match - as well as in the best clubs the city has to offer, a wide range of famous DJs and VJs join forces to whip up a dazzling nocturnal programme, introducing our international design guests to Berlin’s party scene in grand style.
