The first-ever International Videoart Festival in Sweden consist of 4 videostations at 3 different spaces which show video art from 10 invited curators from different countries or regions all over the world to present a variety of international aspects of video art within the city of Orebro.
The first-ever International Videoart Festival in Örebro, Sweden kicks off the 24th October.
The festival will consist of four videostations at three different spaces which will show video art from ten invited curators from different countries or regions all over the world to present a variety of international aspects of video art within the city of Örebro.
The three spaces are, Bio Roxy, Örebro Konsthall and Örebro Läns Museum. For 2008 years festival, Art Video Screening is the head co-ordinator in cooperation with the other three art institutions.
During the festival there will be two official lectures focusing on Swedish and International video art. And talks by the invited curators where they talk about the programme they have selected and videoart from the countries/ regions or their own-run events.

The Festival is a co-initiative of Art Video Screening, Bio Roxy, Orebro konsthall and Orebro lans museum, there Art Video Screening is the head co-ordinator.

2008 years video art festival is located at three addresses near to Örebro castle and Castle park, just a few minutes stroll from eachother.
Örebro is a town in the very heart of Sweden by lake Hjälmaren. With its closeness to Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo it is a natural logistical centre of Scandinavia.
Örebro has a rich cultural life with the County Theatre, the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, museums, art galleries and the castle, which dates back to the 13th century.
