The 4th International Video Art Biennial in Israel. During the event's seven-day duration, 34 different programs of experimental films, video and digital art, video clips and AV works will be screened in the auditorium of the Center for Contemporary in Tel Aviv and at Tel Aviv Cinematheque. The program will comprise a unique selection by about 150 Israeli and international video artists. As former editions of Video Zone, screening programs of the fourth Biennial will be a combination of selections done by guest curators from different countries and regions in the world to assure we best present the video creation in these regions as well as subjects that are relevant to international video creation.
VideoZone 4 initiated and produced by the Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv – will be The Forth International Video Art Biennial in Israel to be held between November 25th – and December 1st. 2008. During the event’s seven-day duration, 34 different programs of experimental films, video and digital art, video clips and AV works will be screened in the auditorium of the Center for Contemporary in Tel Aviv and at Tel Aviv Cinematheque. The program will comprise a unique selection by about 150 Israeli and international video artists.
As it is already a tradition, Video Zone events will be open with an exhibition at the Israeli Center for Digital Art, Holon, titled Speed of Light curated by Galit Eilat and Eyal Danon. Also as costumed, Video Zone will include an exhibition of video installations at the Herzeliya Museum of Contemporary Art: called No Nonsense, curated by Dalia Levin and Antonio Geusa - Israeli and Russian artists.
The CCA will present two exhibitions a solo show of video installations by Albanian-Italian artist Adrian Paci curated by Edna Moshenson and an exhibition titled Repetitions curated by Boaz Arad. Participating artists John Bock; Rodney Graham; Hila Lulu Lin; Antoni Muntadas; Bruce Nauman; João Onofre; Pipilotti Rist; Zbigniew Rybzcynski; Doron Solomons.

Besides the screenings and the exhibitions, meetings, lectures, master classes and panels will be conducted with some of the artists and curators attending.
Guest curators of VZ4 are Florian Wüest - (artist and Independent Curator based in Berlin); Brent Klinkum (Transat Vidèo, France); Łukas Ronduda (Centre for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw); Rotem Ruff, (independent curator based in New Delhi); Jorge La Ferla, (artist and curator from Argentina; David Teh (curator of the Bangkok Experimental Film Festival) Barbara London, (Curator for video at the Museum of Modern Art, New York); Abina Manning (Director of Video Data Bank, Chicago); Sari Golan (young curator from Tel Aviv) and more.
Artist’s special screenings will include, among others, Hito Steyerl, Valerie Mrejen, Keren Cytter, Adrian Paci, Guy Ben-Ner, Wilhelm Sasnal and more.
VideoZone4 will be accompanied by a comprehensive catalogue and a web-site documenting all the events and works presented.
