On show a selection from East Germany's film archives compiled by Claus Loser
On show a selection of underground films from East Germany's film archives compiled by Claus Loser, who will give an introduction to this exclusive screening. From the 1970's to 80's, the State had a monopoly of film production in East Germany, but it was not absolute. An underground film scene made up of painters, poets, musicians and performance artists flourished outside official channels. Presented - in association with the Goethe-Institute Amsterdam - is a selection of 10 films from this provocative world.
