Mentre le fiere che volevano soltanto approfittare avidamente del boom in campo artistico hanno nel frattempo già chiuso i battenti, in febbraio 2010 l’ART Innsbruck celebra la sua quattordicesima edizione. Questa fiera, insignita di premi, punta nuovamente a un mix tra artisti giovani e già arrivati, provenienti da tutta Europa: 70 gallerie presenteranno circa 700 artiste ed artisti. La Fiera si svolge dal 19 al 22 febbraio 2010 nel padiglione 4 del comprensorio fieristico di Innsbruck.

Quest’anno, in occasione del 13° anniversario della Fiera, la fondatrice ed organizzatrice Johanna Penz ha ricevuto dalla IG Galerien il premio di “Mediatore artistico 2009“. “Un numero primo è indivisibile e identico soltanto a se stesso: e così anche la ART Innsbruck e Johanna Penz sono indivisibili. Grazie alla sua organizzatrice di lunga data, la Fiera dell’arte di Innsbruck ha un’identità inimitabile“, ha affermato Hubert Thurnhofer, presidente della IG Galerien in occasione del conferimento del premio. Va detto inoltre che negli scorsi 13 anni Johanna Penz è riuscita sempre di nuovo, nonostante alcune resistenze, a “portare a Innsbruck un fantastico evento culturale e ad entusiasmare il suo pubblico ben oltre i confini della città.“

“I visitatori della ART Innsbruck apprezzano la varietà e l’ampiezza di questa piccola ma raffinata fiera. Sin dall’inizio è stato per noi importante rivolgerci ai neofiti ma anche ai collezionisti con un’offerta azzeccata. Puntiamo sulla competenza ed ovviamente anche sui mercati di nicchia. Non esiste un unico mercato dell’arte, come quello che di recente ha partorito assurdità e follie alla stregua del tanto criticato mondo dell’alta finanza all’inizio del crash finanziario. Esistono tanti mercati: la Fiera dell’arte di Innsbruck è uno di questi“, ricorda Johanna Penz.

Con un interessante programma di corollario la Fiera punta a informare collezionisti e investitori del mondo dell’arte sul modo in cui il mercato dell’arte reagisce alla crisi.

Eventi chiave:

Mostra speciale dedicata all’arte giovane in Tirolo: collettiva (“dal collettivo di DUE posizioni artistiche risulta un intero”) degli artisti tirolesi Ursula Groser (fotografia, videostills) ed Elisabeth+Albin Schutting (pittura). La mostra viene presentata in anteprima in novembre 2009 alla St. Claude Gallery di New Orleans, città gemellata con Innsbruck, e successivamente alla ART Innsbruck 2010.

Esposizione speciale di multipli della rinomata Galleria Rhomberg di Innsbruck: opere selezionate di grafica da Le Corbusier ad Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Hermann Nitsch, Arnulf Rainer, Victor Vasarely, Max Weiler ed altri ancora illustrano vividamente l’arte del multiplo nella sua forma più elevata ed ambiziosa – un confronto dalla riproduzione al genere artistico.

Colloquio con la partecipazione di esperti sull’intermediazione in campo artistico e sulle tendenze attuali del mercato dell’arte.

ART Innsbruck: Starting shot for round 14
Supporting programme: Symposium about intermediation and marketing of art

While fairs, which only want to pinch a bit of the art boom, are closing their doors, the ART Innsbruck is having her 14th edition in february 2010. The prizewinning fair is placing the emphasis on a mix of young and ascending artists from all over Europe. 70 galleries will introduce about 700 artists. The fair is taking place from 19th to 22nd February 2010 in Innsbruck's fair hall 4. This year, to the 13th anniversary of the fair, the foundress and organizer Johanna Penz was decorated with the “Art Mediator 2009” award by the IG Galleries.

“A prime number is indivisible and only identical with itself: and that's why the ART Innsbruck and Johanna Penz are indivisible bound together. Thanks to the long lasting organizer has Innsbruck's art fair an unmistakable identity”, says Hubert Thurnhofer, chairman of the IG galleries, at the granting. More over Johanna Penz succeeded in the last 13 years against many resistance “to bring a great art event to Innsbruck and to elate her audience far beyond Innsbruck.”

„Visitors of the ART Innsbruck appreciate the variety and breadth of this small, fine fair. Since the beginning it was important for us to address beginners as well as collectors with an appropriate range. We focus on competence and certainly on niche markets. There is not only one art market, which developed in the beginning of the finance crash the highly criticized high finance world and other absurdities and lunatic things. There are many markets: the art fair in Innsbruck is one of them“, emphasis Johanna Penz.

With an interesting supporting programme the fair will be informing the art collectors and investors how the art market is furthermore reacting to the crisis.

Highlights:

Curated Special Show on Young Art from Tyrol – an alliance exhibition (“The Collective of TWO artistic positions results a whole”) with the Tyrolean artists Ursula Groser (Photography, Videostills) and Elisabeth+Albin Schutting (Painting) will be displayed, which was presented for the first time in November 2009 in the partner city of Innsbruck, New Orleans, St. Claude Gallery and subsequently at the ART Innsbruck 2010.

Special exhibition “Original prints” by the renowned Gallery Rhomberg, Innsbruck – well chosen originally printed works by Le Corbusier about Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Hermann Nitsch, Arnulf Rainer, Victor Vasarely, Max Weiler and many more will demonstrate vividly the art of original prints in the highest and most demanding way – a confrontation from reproduction to genre. Expert talk about art intermediation and the latest trends at the art market.
