Holy Crap. The exhibition includes a DJ mixing bible tracks and selected items from the artist's collection of Panda memorabilia
We had a discussion about the Church, the Church signs in the US along the streets, about their poetry, about seduction, repression and basement tapes. The fact, that these Church signs make you laugh, but that the Church isn't funny, not the Catholic Church, none of them, no. Signs like "The Most Powerful Position Is On Your Knees" or "Don't Be So Open-Minded Your Brains Fall Out" or "There Are Some Questions That Can't Be Answered by Google" or "Everyone Needs to Be Loved Especially When They Don't Deserve It" or "Sunday's Message: Jesus Said, Bring Me That Ass". One idea was to bind these Church sign-images into a book, together with Josh Smith, to touch each page. Another discussion we had was about cynicism, maybe a misunderstanding. Rob Pruitt's show "Holy Crap" includes a DJ mixing bible tracks and selected items from the artist's collection of Panda memorabilia. New Jerseyy is supported by Christoph Merian Stiftung, Ernst und Olga Gubler-Hablutzel Stiftung, Nordtangente-Kunsttangente. Opening June 15, 6-11 pm.
