A group show
What can happen when the forces align for a group of different artists all making different work in different places with different ideas that have nothing to do with each other? They come together for a show and, as it ends up, they do all have themes in common. Wendell Gladstone awakens the dark side in his painting of an alter ego of the underworld while in a work by Aya Uekawa the figure seems to be floating away to another realm. Also in an alternate reality Yuliya Lanina's whimsical animation juxtaposes ideas of fantasy and sexuality. Nina Chanel Abney and Justin Samson never fail to indulge our greatest imagination while a sculpture by Charlie Roberts represents his ultimate fantasy, a kick ass stage for his band to play.
