One of the most significant artists to emerge from Portugal (he will represent Portugal at the 2003 Venice Biennale) since the 1980s. This touring exhibition is guest-curated at Baltic by Michael Tarantino and will include two newly commissioned works.
Pedro Cabrita Reis is one of the most significant artists to emerge from Portugal (he will represent Portugal at the 2003 Venice Biennale) since the 1980s.
His semi-abstract sculptures, paintings and installations recycle everyday found materials to create quasi-architectural assemblages in which the process of construction is emphasised.
This touring exhibition is guest-curated at BALTIC by Michael Tarantino and will include two newly commissioned works.
