Pedro Cabrita Reis is one of the most significant artists to emerge from Portugal (he will represent Portugal at the 2003 Venice Biennale) since the 1980s.
His semi-abstract sculptures, paintings and installations recycle everyday found materials to create quasi-architectural assemblages in which the process of construction is emphasised.
This touring exhibition is guest-curated at BALTIC by Michael Tarantino and will include two newly commissioned works.
