16 November - 21 December / Preview Friday 15th Nov 6.30-9pm
Bringing together work by artists based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, the exhibition presents the varied approaches these artists employ in responding to the objects and materials they use in their work.
Although the methods the use to make work varies, a constant thread within each practice is a highly developed personal craft.
Influenced by urban life (and references to fashion, film, music, etc) the artists employ humorous and sensitive elements to retain a strong personal aesthetic within their work.
The exhibition is conceived and co-ordinated by Jenny Crowe, but has been openly curated to allow the artists to respond to the gallerys idiosyncratic architecture and explore the possibility of making collaborative work.
Katy Dove will show new animations, while the other artists present three dimensional works of varying scale.

Information on The Changing Room
The Changing Room has shown work by over 180 artists since opening in 1997 within its diverse programme of exhibitions, events and education initiatives. The gallery was set up to create a visionary and professional space for artists and audiences within the local area and beyond. We actively support critical debate through commissioning new writing and producing catalogues for specific projects.
Situated in a Victorian shopping arcade in Stirling town center, The Changing Room provides a unique space in which artists can develop and exhibit new work. The gallery has supported young Scottish artists with first significant solo shows e.g.Victoria Morton, Robert Orchardson; commissioned new work e.g. Nathan Coley and brought young, international artists to Scotland for the first time.
Exhibitions open Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 5pm (Late opening Thursdays in December to 7pm)
