“Projected Visions” exists since 2001 as a travelling programme devoted to the video art creation in Europe. It covers already numerous countries, such as Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Moldavia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Latvia, Cyprus, Malta, Hungary, Bosnia, Belgium… Apollonia works constantly in order to enrich this unique collection, promote it and keep it up to date. After the first Polish chapter of “Projected Visions” by Ryszard W. Kluszczynski in 2004, the collection is now “updated” with the video works of the artists from Gdansk.
The overview video from Gdansk will include work created as a result of different ways to use this medium: from testing its capabilities and experiments with its language, the conceptual approach, performance executed before the camera lens and video clips. The authors of the presented works are both the local pioneers of the genre, the professors of the Academy of Fine Arts – Witoslaw Czerwonka and Wojciech Zamiara, middle generation artists – Piotr Wyrzykowski, Michał Szlaga, Ania Witkowska and the youngest generation – Maciej Szupica, Julia Kurek and Honorata Martin.
