Mobilier National et Manufactures Mationales - Galerie des Gobelins, Paris

Mobilier National, les Manufactures Nationales des Gobelins, de Beauvais and de la Savonnerie and the lace workshops of Alencon and Puy are representative of a long history that now positions them on the crossroads of tradition and innovation. The exhibition has a trans-generational focus and will assemble 31 artists from the French scene. The subtle scenography designed by Frederic Ruyant is based "on the establishment of a network of textile strips that will be used and produced in the form of a woven mesh" serving as a metaphorical connection between the works, some of which were especially designed for this event.
