100 Sale of the Century

Studio Voltaire is delighted to launch our 2003 exhibition programme with 100 SALE OF THE CENTURY - a visual extravaganza for the new year!

One hundred artists have been invited to respond to the basic form of a small 10" x 10" canvas in any way that they like. The results will be anonymously hung en masse in the gallery and all work will be available to buy ­ each for the incredibly reasonable price of £100.

Studio Voltaire is a registered charity and 100 SALE OF THE CENTURY is a fundraising event. Existing members of the studio and invited guest artists agree to sell their work so affordably as a gesture of support for our organisation and its development. All commission raised from purchases will help Studio Voltaire to continue to provide studio and exhibition space for up and coming artists as well as education opportunities for our local community.

100 SALE OF THE CENTURY is a perfect opportunity to buy an original artwork at an affordable price, support Studio Voltaire¹s survival as an independent art space and take part in an extraordinary event.
