After the Frac Limousine's retrospective exposition of Gabriele Di Matteo's
works, Frac Bretagne and Le Grand Café, Saint-Nazaire, joined together to
present a double exposition of his recent works. The trustworthiness of
images and their interpretation, biography versus fiction; these are the
questions that have concerned Gabriele Di Matteo since his earliest works.
In Rennes and Saint-Nazaire Gabriele Di Matteo shows, for the first time,
paintings, sculptures and a tableaux vivants, for the opening of the
exposition, inspired by Georges Méliés' "univers fantasmagorique" . A book
will be published completing the monography edited by the Frac Limousin in
2002.
