The Glasgow Art Fair

The Glasgow Art Fair, Scotland's National Art Fair will take place from 10 - 13 April 2003. Now in its eighth year, the event has firmly established itself as the place to view, buy and sell art in Scotland. The largest contemporary art fair in the UK outside London, the fair will bring together 50 selected galleries in pavilions in the heart of Glasgow's city centre.

This year the Glasgow Art Fair gets bigger with a new contemporary pavilion which will showcase work at the cutting edge of Scottish art. Titled E X T E N S I O N this new space features CCA, Collective Gallery, Fruitmarket Gallery, Glasgow Sculpture Studios, Lapland, Switchspace and Tramway.

In 2002 the event smashed all previous records with over 16,000 people attending the Art Fair. In 2002 we also introduced a pilot project RAW: Real Art Weekend in which seven key contemporary arts venues programmed events and exhibitions across the city. This year 17 visual arts venues will take part with an exciting pan-city programme and there will be a FREE RAW BUS that will run on a loop around all the venues.
