Niet Normaal

the Bluecoat, Liverpool

Difference on Display. A new version of an international exhibition that explores the questions 'What is normal?' and 'Who decides?' It is a rich and stimulating selection of work by artists both well and lesser known, disabled and non-disabled. Following recent successful visits to Amsterdam and Berlin, Niet Normaal (the Dutch for 'Not Normal') comes to Liverpool as a highlight of the UK's leading disability and deaf arts festival DaDaFest. The Liverpool version is curated by Ine Gevers and Garry Robson and includes painting, photography, video and sculpture, as well new commissions from internationally renowned artists and an accompanying programme of talks and films.
