Anna Dickinson makes glass that is both timeless and completely
contemporary. Her subtle forms with their deep grooves or facets bridge her
passion for archaic glass and for modernism. Her lids of polished steel,
silver, oxidised copper or hardwoods offset the subtle colours of the glass
itself. This exhibition will feature several of her new open vessels, in
which light is allowed to flood into the interior of the piece giving even
greater depth to her palette of colours.
Anna Dickinson is one of the pre eminent glass artists in Europe. Her work
is in every major international museum glass collection and much sought
after, with much of her glass going to collectors abroad. She work
s
painstakingly, making few pieces each year.
