Design in Sweden
15001740 is one of a trio of permanent installations. The others are: Design in
Sweden 17401900, planned for 2005, and Design 19002000, which opened in 1999.

Permanent Collection:
Some 16,000 works of painting and sculpture, from the Middle Ages to the 20th
century; 500,000 prints and drawings, from the 15th century to the turn of the
20th century; Swedish 18th- and 19th-century painting; 17th-century Dutch art;
18th-century French art; about 30,000 decorative-arts objects from six
centuries, including china, glass, Swedish silver and furniture; tapestries from
the 15th to the 17th centuries; 20th-century design and applied arts.
Architecture: In the Florentine and Venetian Renaissance style.
Admission: 75 kronor; students and groups, 60 kronor; under 16, free.

Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Tuesday, until 8 p.m.; Thursday
from September through May, until 8 p.m. Closed Monday.
