Poltroneria è una esposizione in collaborazione di Bianca Baldi e Ani Schulze.

Bianca Baldi (nata nel 1985 a Johannesburg, vive e lavora a Francoforte) e Ani Schulze (nata nel 1982 a Frankenberg, vive e lavora a Francoforte).

Pigrizia (Sloth) è uno dei sette peccati capitali, liberamente tradotto in Poltroneria si estende ad altri termini, arricchendosi di maggiori sfumature. Potrebbe anche tradursi in ozio, ma nell'esserlo piuttosto che nel farlo; essere, a volte, è sufficiente.
Negotium rappresenta, invece, la negazione di Otium - la parola negozio è infatti luogo deputato al commercio. Ecco perché, il piacere piuttosto che il lavoro è l'orizzonte. Questa relazione al lavoro è spesso espressa da un punto di vista opposto dove è il lavoro stesso ad essere il traguardo.

Si dice che le formiche muoiano dallo sfinimento, mentre il bradipo (Sloth) spende fino a 20 ore di sonno e lei è spesso troppo depressa per fare qualsiasi cosa; mangiare, fare sesso o semplicemente scendere dall'albero. Uno degli elementi della mostra prende forma da una sceneggiatura cinematografica che riunisce gli attori in una calda notte d'estate. E' Hanna che accoglie e ospita questa bella serata e lei che imposta la scena e consente lo svolgersi delle azioni.

Bianca Baldi (b.1985 Johannesburg lives and works in Frankfurt am Main) and Ani Schulze (b. 1982 Frankenberg lives and works in Frankfurt am Main).

Poltroneria is loosely translated to sloth and listed as one of the seven deadly sins however this meaning spans many different terms giving it various nuances. It could also be translated to otium, a being rather than a doing. Being is often enough. Negotium is a negation of otium- the word for shop, negozio, still is one site of trade. That is, leisure rather than work is the horizon. Glasses Half Full. This relationship to work is often expressed from an opposite standpoint where work is the horizon instead. Ants are said to die of exhaustion, while the sloth spends up to twenty hours in slumber she is often too depressed to do anything; to eat, to fuck to move down from the tree.

In the exhibition, using the grammar of film the artists create a physical film, a time line based on a script which is presented in the Rivista Apparente, a publication project of The Museo Apparente.
This film script brings together fragments by; Marco Balesteros, Leda Bourgogne, Clare Butcher, Agatha Gothe-Snape, Martin Kohout, Inger Wold Lund, Aki Nagasaka, Ambra Pittoni, André Sousa, André Tavares and Pedro Bandeira with texts by Anna Goetz and Marijana Schneider.
