A new artist's book and a performance by electronic musician Wolfgang Voigt
gta exhibitions, ETH Zurich, and Edition Patrick Frey have commissioned the American artist Aaron Flint Jamison to produce a new artist's book. The limited edition publication, Cascades, will be distributed for free on February 26, 2015. A performance by electronic musician Wolfgang Voigt will accompany the distribution. Jamison works with various, broad forms of artistic production; he is a visual artist, the editor of the serial publication Veneer Magazine, and the co-founder of the art center Yale Union in Portland, Oregon. Jamison focuses on the textures of materials, the distribution of information, tools of production, and their occasional interface. For his edition with gta exhibitions, a special attention is given to materiality, physicality and how author and machine exchange. This results in a handmade newly commissioned publication produced at his own printing facilities. For gta exhibitions Jamison combines his practices of book making, performance, and the circulation of information by inviting Voigt and creating an evening event.
