Three young women from Iceland
Who will change your life.
"Like Björk times three, the collaborative members of The Icelandic Love Corporation—Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir, Jónà Jónsdóttir, and Eirún Sigurdardóttir, who met at art school in ReykjavÃk—stage primal, enchanting performances in radically avant-garde attire. In a video that's part of their North American debut at Williamsburg's Jack the Pelican Presents, the sequined trio replaces the organs of a gutted cod, in tribute to Iceland's chief natural resource. For a March 28 performance at the space, 'it's not clear yet what they'll do, but they did assure me that it's going to be very messy,' says gallery co-director Don Carroll. That shouldn't deter their growing fan base, reported to include Iceland's most famously eccentric sprite herself."

—Aleksandra Mir
"The myth tells us that if standing on the moon, only two human phenomena are visible: The Great Wall of China and four Icelandic girls that call themselves The Icelandic Love Corporation."
