These complex, influential, brilliant, controversial--and at times--perverse, world-class photographers and painters (who have shown at the Tate Modern, REDCAT Gallery, MOCA, LACMA, MOMA, and the California Museum of African Art, among others) are coming together to celebrate the craftsmanship at Finishing Solutions, the last mile in an artist's journey to the public.

Ramon Valdez and Juan Herrera at Finishing Solutions are highly talented finishing specialists who collaborate with artists using cutting-edge technology and skilled traditional methods to help articulate the artist's concept to a perfectly finished piece. Two friends who married sisters, they took the plunge and started to service artists on their own three years ago from out of their garage. Now they occupy large facilities and number some of the most recognized artists in the world amongst their patrons.

Their devotion to the true expression of the artist's vision and their deeply personal involvement with the art they help to produce sets them apart; they have even been known to delay payment from a painter or photographer, in what they call 'investing in the artist.' This exhibit honors their partnership with some of today's most intriguing and significant artists.
