Zilvinas Kempinas' installations combine an evocative use of materials such as unspooled videotape and household pins, with a sophisticated play on the way a viewer relates physically and optically to his work in space. His piece 'Flying Tape' features a 20ft loop of audiotape, mezmerizingly floating and spinning in mid air, held aloft by a vortex of air created by six industrial fans.

Two of the artist's sprawling, minutely detailed installations that feature a vast accumulation of imagery and objects, from dime store plastic toys, to tilting fetishistic totems made of human hair. The show will feature 'Mamma', the artist's latest work, which invites viewers to propel themselves through a maze-like fabric structure on padded trolleys.
