Since February 2004 the artist Ruth Kaaserer (Munich / Vienna) has been working with a group of young women aged 16 to 20 on a project, which deals with the media representation of girls in Munich's public sphere. The result is a video that in the form of a game show questions the public young women.

Andrea Beutel, Fatuma Juma, Anna Fleischmann, Shirow Muriuki, Ute
Schön, Venta Seifu-Mulubrhan.
Since February 2004 the artist Ruth Kaaserer (Munich / Vienna) has
been working with a group of young women aged 16 to 20 on a project,
which deals with the media representation of girls in Munich's public
sphere. The result is a video that in the form of a game show
questions the public young women. The show is moderated by two of the
participants and is only similar to common TV shows on a formal
level.
The project can be seen at Kunstverein München from 10 - 12 September
2004.
MÄDCHEN SIND. (Girls are.) is the fifth part of the project series
DISPOSITIVE WORKSHOP, where artists are invited to realise projects
in collaboration with a group of people from Munich.
