Video works. This exhibition presents a selection of new works and earlier work from the collection. Bjorgeengen is one of Norway's most renowned video artists who has collaborated with leading figures from the world of contemporary and experimental music. His installations are meditative spaces that challenge traditional ideas about video as a medium for entertainment.

This exhibition presents a selection of new works and earlier work from the collection. Bjørgeengen is one of Norway's most renowned video artists who has collaborated with leading figures from the world of contemporary and experimental music. His installations are meditative spaces that challenge traditional ideas about video as a medium for entertainment. By manipulating time, light and space, he brings into focus other aspects of video, the media that dominates contemporary visual culture.

The exhibition opens Saturday Oct. 9th at 1 p.m. Welcome!

04.09-12.12: Mario Merz
Movements of the Earth and the Moon on an Axis. Drawings

Mario Merz was one of the leading figures of the European 20thCentury art world and one of the best known Italian Arte Povera artists. Drawing was one of the mainstays of his artistic practice, and this presentation is his first solo exhibition in Norway. It comprises 43 colourful drawings in various techniques of igloo and snail constructions, architectural visions and mythical animals. Merz' large igloo installation, recently acquired by the Museum will also be exhibited.

18.09-02.01.05: Annette Messager
Between you and me

The internationally known French artist Annette Messager is best known for her playful, experimental and anti-hierarchic artistic practice. She incorporates a wealth of materials into her work, including everyday objects and various visual artifacts. During recent years she has often worked with textiles and movement. Soft toys have played an important role in her work, and the exhibtion presents several examples of this.
