An exhibition of paintings by PILAR VIVIENTE, which will take place on Friday November 19th, 2004 at 8 PM.
Pilar Viviente born in Madrid in 1958, and after one year she moved to ParÃs with her family. Six years later she returned to Spain, to Zaragoza, where she lived until starting her Fine Arts Studies in Barcelona.
At the present time, Pilar Viviente lives in Altea (Alicante), where she is a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Alicante). Her academic training includes a BA in Piano (Zaragoza, 1976), a BA in Arts and Crafts (Zaragoza, 1985) and a BA and PHD in Fine Arts (Barcelona, 1987 y 1993).
(II) National Award of Finished Studies in Fines Arts and (VII) National Award Young Art Show, the artist held different scholarships, from Barcelona University, Madrid Injuve, Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture (F.P.I.) in Spain, Paris and N.Y. City, and the Government of Catalonia in Paris.
From her first group exhibition (Murcia, 1985) and individual exhibition (Zaragoza, 1987) to the present she has done around a hundred exhibitions and two big wall paintings (Barcelona, 1987, Sevilla, 2000), plus numerous publications in scientific magazine, mass-media magazines, catalogues and press, both national and international.
