R.F.I.D. The artist has used The Changing Room as a project space to develop a new body of work, fuelled by an interest in the emerging technology, radio frequency identification tagging (RFID). The work explores ideas of surveillance and civil liberty issues, considering the implications of this controversial new tracking system, which soon could replace barcodes on everyday items. The project coincides with the timing of the G8 submit at Gleneagles, in Perthshire, near Stirling. Saturday 9 July 2pm: symposium. Mulholland will talk about the work in the exhibition in relation to radio frequency identity tagging, followed by a discussion led by Dr Neil Mulholland on ambient technology.
