For many dreams.

Why does one spend one´s time with art, why does one even become an art dealer? After 30 years I have now conjured up this image in my head of a garden in which all seasons and all temperature zones become one. We take care of the plants growing there and enjoy their fruits. We seek pleasure in the garden´s visitors and its inhabitants, in its manifold possibilities and conversations. All this results in a, on the one hand, varying and, on the other hand, monochrome image of infinite possibilities for the viewer as well as for the creator.

Being an art dealer/gallerist/publisher has made it possible for me to have both the most wonderful job in the world and to combine private life and work. It is nowhere else that one has to do with all sorts of creativity and personality. And, after all, the freedom that comes along with dealing with art - anything goes.

This is why "the garden for many dreams" has become the title for this exhibition trilogy. The garden shall be seen as a place where the arts, artists and everyone interested in the arts or dealing with the arts meet.

The first part of the trilogy is dedicated to plants themselves: Pierre Alechinsky´s trees, Andy Warhol´s and Thomas Stimm´s daisies, Gunter Damisch´s and Nikolaus Moser´s images of vegetation, Max Ernst´s sensitive plants and Mimmo Rotella´s torn up decollages.

Thus we want to prepare you for the second part of the trilogy: heroes and friends meeting in the garden (July / August). The last part, Figures in the Garden will bring this little digression into the future and history of art to an end and will bring the trilogy together in one single publication.
