Each year, members of the nation's most prestigious film critics group, are invited to select and introduce films around a theme chosen by the Circle. The theme for the 2006 series is "Foreign Affairs," movies that explore the idea of what it means to be an outsider; to literally or metaphorically live in-or visit-another country.
The series runs on weekends from January 7 through February 12, 2006 and will feature: John Anderson (Newsday) introducing The Third Man, Michael Atkinson (The Village Voice) introducing Strozek, Marshall Fine (The Star) introducing The Yakuza, Owen Gleiberman (Entertainment Weekly) introducing Full Metal Jacket, Jim Hoberman (The Village Voice) with Zabriskie Point, Stuart Klawans (The Nation) with Naked Lunch, Nathan Lee (The New York Sun) with Kundun, Dennis Lim (The Village Voice) with Ali: Fear Eats The Soul, Lou Lumenick (The New York Post) introducing The Last Flight, Peter Rainer (New York) introducing Hamsun, Leah Rozen (People) with Ninotchka, Andrew Sarris (The New York Observer) with Foreign Correspondent, Lisa Schwarzbaum (Entertainment Weekly) introducing Genghis Blues, Matt Zoller Seitz (New York Press) introducing Hiroshima Mon Amour, Gene Seymour (Newsday) with My Beautiful Launderette, David Sterritt introducing The Brother From Another Planet, Armond White (New York Press) with No Greater Glory, and Stephen Whitty (The Newark Star-Ledger) with Freaks.
Film Screenings: Fridays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Admission: $10.00 for adults; $7.50 for persons over 65 and for students with ID; $5.00 for children ages 5-18. Children under 5 and Museum members are admitted free. Admission to the galleries is free on Fridays, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
